Privacy Policy

We believe privacy is a right, not a feature. Here is exactly how we handle your data.

🏢

1. Who We Are

Leader Standard OS is developed and published by OAAI APPS, an independent software company based in Fairfield, California, USA. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at lsw@oaaiapps.com.

📱

2. What Data the App Stores

All operational data you enter — routines, Gemba walk observations, escalations, projects, coaching session notes, and team members — is stored locally on your device in the iOS sandbox. It is not accessible to other apps.

When you sign in, your data is also synced to Firebase Firestore (provided by Google), a private cloud database keyed to your Firebase user ID. This enables real-time sync across the iOS app, the web app, and any other signed-in device. Your Firestore data is private to your account — it is not accessible to other users or shared with third parties.

If you have iCloud Sync enabled, your data may also reside in your private iCloud database via Apple's CloudKit. iCloud sync is available as a backup and migration tool. Apple's privacy policies govern iCloud storage.

  • Routines and completion history
  • Gemba walk logs and observations
  • Escalations and project records
  • Coaching session notes and commitments
  • Team member names and roles
  • App preferences (theme, Gemba score settings)
  • Pro subscription status (synced to Firestore for cross-platform feature gating)
🔐

3. Authentication

Leader Standard OS uses Firebase Authentication (provided by Google) for sign-in. We support email/password sign-in and Sign in with Apple.

Firebase stores your email address and a hashed password (for email sign-in), or your Apple ID token (for Sign in with Apple). We do not store passwords in plain text. Firebase's privacy policy applies to authentication data.

When you delete your account from within the app, your Firebase authentication record is permanently deleted.

🔄

4. Cloud Sync and Data Migration

Leader Standard OS has transitioned from iCloud-only sync to Firebase Firestore as the primary cross-device data store. This enables real-time sync between the iOS app and the web app at lsw-leader-standard-work.web.app.

What this means for your data:

  • On your first sign-in after this update, the app automatically pushes all local device data to Firestore.
  • If your device has no local data (e.g., after a reinstall), the app checks iCloud first and restores from there before pushing to Firestore.
  • Once in Firestore, your data is available on all signed-in devices — including the web app — in real time.
  • iCloud Sync remains available as an optional backup. You can manually restore from iCloud at any time via Profile → Restore from iCloud.

We do not delete your iCloud data as part of this migration. Your CloudKit records remain intact and accessible through the iCloud Sync section in Profile.

📊

5. Analytics and Crash Reporting

We do not collect behavioral analytics. Firebase Analytics is disabled in our configuration (IS_ANALYTICS_ENABLED = false).

We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or session recording tools. We do not track how you use the app.

📤

6. Exports

When you export your data as a PDF or Excel file, that file is generated entirely on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers. You control where it goes — email, Files, AirDrop, or any other destination you choose.

💳

8. Subscriptions and Purchases

Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs all transaction data.

When a subscription is verified, we write your Pro status (isPro: true/false) to your private Firestore document at users/{uid}/settings/subscription. This allows the web app and other signed-in devices to unlock Pro features in real time without requiring a separate purchase. This data is private to your account and is never shared with third parties.

We also cache Pro status locally on your device to avoid unnecessary StoreKit queries on every launch.

7. Email Communications

We may occasionally contact you by email at the address associated with your account for the following purposes:

  • Product updates — significant new features, platform changes (such as the web app launch and Firebase sync migration), or important notices about the app.
  • Feedback requests — we may ask for your input on new features or your experience with the app. Participation is always voluntary.
  • Account notices — security-relevant communications such as account deletion confirmations or policy changes that materially affect your data.

We do not send promotional or marketing emails. We do not share your email address with third-party mailing lists or advertising services.

You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time by replying to any message or contacting us at lsw@oaaiapps.com. Account and security notices cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

10. Children's Privacy

Leader Standard OS is designed for professional operational leaders and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

⚖️

11. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data at any time.

  • Delete your account: Profile → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. This permanently removes your Firebase authentication record and all Firestore data associated with your account.
  • Clear local data: Profile → Clear Local Data. This wipes all app data from your device.
  • Restore from Firestore: Profile → Restore from Cloud. This fetches your latest data from Firestore to your device.
  • Restore from iCloud: Profile → Restore from iCloud. This restores data from your CloudKit backup, useful after a reinstall or device change.
  • Delete iCloud data: Profile → iCloud Sync → Delete All Cloud Data. This removes all records from your private iCloud database.

For any other data requests, contact us at lsw@oaaiapps.com.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For material changes, we will notify users through the app.
